It was so easy to get creative with these Trolls popcorn containers. I was able to get all my supplies between Walmart and Joann Fabrics. All fabric items were from the fabric store and everything else was at my local Walmart.
What I love most about this project and recipe is that it is SIMPLE, kids can help, and it also makes a great treat for slumber parties and birthday parties!
What you will need for the Trolls popcorn containers:
- 1 large bowl (we chose pink to celebrate Poppy)
- small containers for individual servings
- wiggly eyeballs
- paint brush
What you will need for your Trolls popcorn:
- mini marshmallows
- vanilla extract
- colorful treats to add in-We chose some from the baking aisle and colorful Nerds.
To create your Trolls popcorn, there is no right or wrong way! Melt butter on low, mix in the mini marshmallows, constantly stirring as not to burn. While doing this pop your bag of popcorn. Once the mixture is ready add a dash or two of vanilla extract and stir a few more times. Slowly drizzle the mixture over the popcorn and then add your selected candies/sprinkles. Many people love to add in chewy or chocolate pieces. The options truly are endless.
How to create your Trolls popcorn containers. Using tulle for the large container you will cut a few pieces, lay under the bowl, and bring the up to style "hair". You have the option of glueing the tulle the bowl or just letting the bowl rest on it and keeping the bowl in one place (depends on how you wish to approach washing it). Tie the tulle in to hair with a ribbon. Attach wiggly eyeballs to the front. Paint a nose and mouth.
For the personal Trolls popcorn containers you are doing the same for the face. Then the hair is created by tying a band of tulle around the edge and tying off additional tulle pieces to the front. Tie with a ribbon near the top to complete the style.
Of course no Trolls: The Beat Goes On marathon would be complete without our favorite Tampico beverages! You need something refreshing and tasty to wash down your scrumptious snack. I love the individual containers as they are the perfect size for refreshments, kids hands, and parties!
To take it a step further, my son wanted to dress up as Branch and have his new puppy Lilly cuddle with him, so Mommy of course ended up creating a hair-do for her with some of the fabric (To hold fabric up I used a clear plastic shot glass, and attached a ribbon to the sides)!
So what are you waiting for? Trolls: The Beat Goes On is now on Netflix and NOW is the time to play the Flavor Hunt with Tampico on Instagram! Get Started on your Flavor Hunt now!
